Texas Rangers Outreach

On April 2, we took a group of 29 out to the Texas Rangers game in Arlington,

Rangers Outreach

TX. Most of us met up in Carrollton and then car pooled out to the stadium. We had a group of (about) 20 from the Gospel for Asia School of Discipleship. We split this group into four and positioned them on each of the four corners of the ballpark. The rest of us set up on one of the busy corners and also roamed the area. We had at least one person spend the full two hours in the parking lot having one on one conversations. Kevin wrote:

The baseball trivia tracts were a great icebreaker to start conversations with people that were hanging out before the Rangers game. It made it an easy transition to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ showing we all will die one day and without the redemption of Christ, we are all headed for an eternity away from God.

During the course of the evening, Michael, Raleigh and Meagan each took their first shot at open air preaching. What a blessing to have some young people take a bold stand for Christ.

In the course of the evening, over 11,000 Gospel Tracts were distributed!

Update from Montgomery, Alabama

Here is an excerpt of what David wrote on his BLOG about two outreaches in Montgomery, AL:

On March 15 of this year, we had our first outreach with the Max Capital City Classic at Riverwalk Stadium between the college teams of  Auburn University and the  University of Alabama and .  The night as always brought many opportunities to speak to people about eternity and preach the law & the gospel.  I was joined by by brother in Christ Rafael Ray for this outreach who brought much encouragement to the table as he engaged some in discussion that did not agree with our preaching as well as witnessing with many others.  As always, I am very thankful for his desire to reach the lost and glorify God.

The next MLB outreach took place this past Saturday evening, April 9, 2011.   Again, what a joy the night offered as the gospel was proclaimed to the fans outside the stadium and the downtown area.   We began these two outreaches with 2,500 tracts and gave away all but a few hundred.  The laborers were short for these outreaches, but by no means was the opportunity to witness hindered. It brings us joy knowing that God is the author of salvation and we can only rely on him to save people, not on how many tracts we have and how many people we have to pass the out.  He alone is sovereign.

Mariners Home Opener Outreach

Bridget writes:

WWOOOOOW!!!! What a day!!! 6 of us (Anna, Alex, Isaac, Wyatt, Julia and myself) took the bus from Kent Station to Safeco Field. Handed out a few tracts at the bus stop. The devil tried to stop us by making the bus have a malfunction, but the Lord was watching over us, so there was another bus that came along shortly! (Cool! More people to give tracts to!)

When we got to the stadium, it was about 4:00ish, there were already tons of people there. We immediately started to hand out tracts to everyone in site! About an hour after that, we finally met up with Lisa, Toby, and Merob, who were handing out their “Holy, Holy, Holy” tracts.
We stayed down there for several hours, and left about 7:30 or so.  We ran out of the Mariner’s Tracts fairly early on, so we had about 300 “Millions” and “Trillions” to give away. Not too many one 2 one conversations, as there were faaaar too many people for that.

I did have a couple of conversations with 2 agnostic gentlemen, (Matt and I didn’t get his friend’s name) and a nice young man on the bus from Jamaica whose name was Maxwell. Please pray for them!
ALSO~the Lord was good to us by providing us with a beautiful day without rain, (even though the weather man said that we were supposed to have some!)

I’m exhausted! Going to bed, and then we’ll head out to do it all over again tomorrow!

THANK YOU Jesus, for a WONDERFUL day serving You!

Rockies Opener Evangelism

Evangelism Team!

Following the Rockies opener evangelism, Stephen wrote on his BLOG:

What a great day we had yesterday in Denver.  It was opening day for the Colorado Rockies and we had 15 saints from all around Colorado there to witness.  We got there about 3 hours before the game and there were already thousands of people all over the place.  The weather turned out to be perfect, and the people must have wanted to enjoy it downtown, because it seemed half the town was there.  So we set up in different areas and had 2-3 people preaching and the rest handing out tracts and witnessing 1-2-1.  The crowds became almost crushing and tens of thousands heard the Gospel to the glory of God.

Please see the complete article and more pictures on his BLOG.

White Sox Outreach

Tom in Chicago sent me this update on the outreach at the White Sox game:

White Sox (partial) team

We had a cold, cloudy day but a great team of eight men (and sons).  Our team was myself and my son, my pastor Steve, Chuck, Will and his son (not pictured), another Steve (not pictured, and Robert (not pictured).  As you can see, we met some colorful characters such as “Sox Man” and “Sox Girl”.  Super heroes need the gospel too!  We were able to get out 2,393 tracts in about two hours.  May the Lord bring a harvest from this effort!

Pirates Outreach

Handing out tracts.

Here is the report from Jennifer on the outreach at the Pirates game:

We had 3 people hand out tracts before the Game and 2 people handing out tracts after the game.  More than 5000 tracts were handed out during the game.  I did not get pictures of the team but I did get pictures of people that got tracts.  We talked to lots of people and we were able to hand out tracts during the entire game people were coming and going.

Glad to get tracts!
