When sharing the Gospel try to make it a conversation. We like to find out what the person believes and then take the conversation in one of two directions based on what they say as they are talking. This video explains more:
Now you may be wondering, what does it really look like to put this into practice. So, I’ve recorded a separate video that I called “West End Uncut” with 31 minutes of raw footage practicing what I described in the video above. As you watch at roughly the 5:30 mark I start a long conversation with a man. And at the 26:40 mark I begin a conversation with several youth after handing them our new Million Dollar Bill tract. I apologize for the video quality as I am trying to learn how to position my phone in my pocket to record these. And the recording ends midway through the last conversation.

Each month we provide a suggested verse to guide your prayer time. This month we recommend the A.C.T.S. model of prayer using the following four verses:
Adoration
20 You shall fear the Lord your God. You shall serve him and hold fast to him, and by his name you shall swear.21 He is your praise. He is your God, who has done for you these great and terrifying things that your eyes have seen. (Deuteronomy 10:20-21)
Confession
10 But David’s heart struck him after he had numbered the people. And David said to the Lord, “I have sinned greatly in what I have done. But now, O Lord, please take away the iniquity of your servant, for I have done very foolishly.” (2 Samuel 24:10)
Thanksgiving
the God who gave me vengeance and brought down peoples under me, 49 who brought me out from my enemies; you exalted me above those who rose against me; you delivered me from men of violence.
50 “For this I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations, and sing praises to your name. (2 Samuel 22:48-50)
Supplication
10 Jabez called upon the God of Israel, saying, “Oh that you would bless me and enlarge my border, and that your hand might be with me, and that you would keep me from harm[a] so that it might not bring me pain!” And God granted what he asked. (1 Chronicles 4:10)

A psalm and a prayer is a model for a prayer meeting that we have found to be very effective. It was introduced to me by Pastor Luke Biggs at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Carrollton, TX. The church had a prayer list that was maintained by someone on staff with prayer requests gathered from people in the church who submitted them during Sunday morning worship or via email, etc. The Pastor would pick a Psalm and then people would come to the prayer meeting. We held ours at 6:30AM on Saturday morning, but any time that works for your group would be fine. Here is how the prayer meeting would work.
Pastor would divide the Psalm by however many people were there in attendance and have each person read a verse or two. Next he would give each person a chance to comment on their thoughts on a verse that stands out to them. Finally Pastor would share some thoughts on the Psalm based on his preparation in advance.
Now it was time to pray. Using a printed prayer list from the church we would be given updates on some of the prayers. For example if someone is sick and in there was an update we could make note of that update. Finally there was an opportunity to contribute our own prayer requests.
When we prayed normally someone would “lead off” and someone would “close”. Pastor would normally designate someone for these roles. He might suggest an order of people praying within that like counter clockwise or clockwise. The idea is each person got an opportunity to pray.
After Pastor Biggs received a call to another church, I lead the Psalm and Prayer group for nearly a year. Rather than preparing the comments on the Psalm myself each week, I would ask for volunteers to lead each week. Then those leaders would play the Pastors role to coordinate that weeks prayer time.
I hope and pray that this model of prayer may be helpful in your church, ministry or small group.

Each month we provide a suggested verse to guide your prayer time. This month we recommend Titus especially verses 1:15-16:
[15] To the pure, all things are pure, but to the defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure; but both their minds and their consciences are defiled. [16] They profess to know God, but they deny him by their works. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work. (Titus 1:15-16 ESV)

Each month we provide a suggested verse to guide your prayer time. This month we recommend Psalm 111 especially verse 10:
Praise the Lord! I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart, in the company of the upright, in the congregation. 2 Great are the works of the Lord, studied by all who delight in them. 3 Full of splendor and majesty is his work, and his righteousness endures forever. 4 He has caused his wondrous works to be remembered; the Lord is gracious and merciful. 5 He provides food for those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever. 6 He has shown his people the power of his works, in giving them the inheritance of the nations. 7 The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy; 8 they are established forever and ever, to be performed with faithfulness and uprightness. 9 He sent redemption to his people; he has commanded his covenant forever. Holy and awesome is his name! 10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!

You’ve heard of PokemonGO! Maybe you are even one of the millions of people searching for virtual Pokemon using your smartphone. We’ve found the game to be a great ice breaker to the Gospel by finding people playing the game in parks, malls and every where we go. One Million Tracts even has a Pokeball tract that you can give to these game players!
Jesus gave two commands to Go!
“Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.” Mark 16:15
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20
So what are you waiting for? Let’s go!
Here is how BezeugenGO works.
Download an app to track your walking. I like MapMyWalk. But there are plenty of similar apps that do the same thing.
Start the app
Click start workout to track you walk
Go door to door and distribute door hangers!
Click stop workout. The app will save the map of where you walked and even report stats like distance, etc.
If you need door hangers you can order any of our designs at One Million Tracts. There is even a space that can be customized with your church, ministry or personal contact information. To get started, we would be pleased to send you a flat rate envelope of door hangers (50 or so) for a donation of any amount to Bezeugen Ministries.
So what would happen if you were to start from your house, go out and walk 30-45 minutes per week and simply put out door hangers, pray for your neighbors and the ones that you come in contact with you tell them what you are doing. What would happen if you did that every day? You’d get some exercise for sure. Most all of us need that. You’d probably reach 100-500 houses a week with the Gospel. Everyone needs that!
So here is the challenge. At least once in the month of August, go out into your community, walk for at least 30 minutes and distribute door hangers or tracts to people’s doors. Then on Spetember 17th, join the 100K in 1 Day event where people from around the country will be working together in their communities to share the Gospel with 100,000 people in one day! Then keep going at least once a month.
If you are up to the challenge email Carl and let him know you are in! We will send you door hangers to get you started, add you to our door to door map and even add you to our meetup group events if you’ll let us know when you are going!

Each month we provide a suggested verse to guide your prayer time. This month we recommend using Psalm 33:12:
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage!
This verse appears on the front of a new tract released to the Bezeugen Tract Club this month. The back reads as follows:
The nation is a collection of people. God is calling each one to turn to Him. Then as a whole to serve Him. Do you need to turn to God? Ever told a lie? Stolen anything? Hated anyone? Innocent or guilty? God cannot be in the presence of sin. “For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness, Nor shall evil dwell with You” (Psalm 5:4). Heaven or Hell? God does not want you to go to Hell (1 Timothy 2:4). The Good News is that 2,000 years ago, God sent his Son Jesus to earth. Jesus being fully man and fully God fulfilled the Law. He willingly died on the cross to pay for your sin, then rose from the dead defeating sin and death. Repent and believe the Gospel. God will forgive all your sin and grant you eternal life (Mark 1:15, John 3:36). Read the Bible everyday starting with John, Acts, Romans and James.
Let’s use this Thursday as a call to repentance for our nation, especially for the 300+ million individuals who make up its population! See you Thursday!
