Pro-Life Postcard
The back of the postcard reads: Only the animal is different. The other three are humans, differing only in age and level of dependence on their mother. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1). He created the animals according to their kind (Genesis 1:25). People are different; created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26).God knows us before we are conceived and forms each of us in our mother’s womb (Jeremiah 1:5 , Psalm 139:13). Approximately 3,700 babies are aborted in the United States alone per day. That’s 2.5 abortions per minute (about the time it takes to read this card). God has given you a conscience to know right from wrong. God hates hands that shed innocent blood (Proverbs 6:16-17). The sixth commandment says “You shall not murder” (Exodus 20:13). Have you ever murdered anyone (including a pre-born baby)? If not, then consider “Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer” (1 John 3:15). God’s punishment for murder is eternity in Hell (Revelation 21:8). It is appointed once for man to die and then the judgment (Hebrews 9:27). Let’s look at three more of the Ten Commandments. Ever lied? Stolen anything? Had sex outside of marriage or looked with lust, which Jesus calls adultery of the heart (Matthew 5:28)? Does God see you, by your own admission, as a murderous, lying, thieving, adulterer at heart? Will God find you innocent or guilty? Heaven or Hell? God does not want you to go to Hell (1 Timothy 2:4, 2 Peter 3:9). The good news is that 2,000 years ago, God sent His only son Jesus to earth to save you from your sin (John 3:16, 1 John 2:2). Jesus being fully God and fully man, lived a perfect life and fulfilled the Law. Jesus willingly died on the cross to pay for your sin. Three days later Jesus rose from the grave defeating sin and death. He stands ready to forgive you of all your sin and grant you eternal life. Repent (turn away from your sin) and put your trust in Jesus Christ alone (Mark 1:15). Then God will forgive all your sin and you will have eternal life.
