Today is the first Thursday of the month and we will be having our First Thursday day of prayer for our nation, leaders and revival as part of the Pray, Learn, Go model. As always, we will follow the ACTS (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving and Supplication) model of prayer. We suggest the following Bible verses be read in conjunction with your prayer meeting:
- Adoration: 1 Peter 2:9, Psalm 9:1-2
- Confession: Romans 10:10, Proverbs 28:13, 1 John 1:9
- Thanksgiving: 1 Chronicles 16:34, 1 Corinthians 15:37
- Supplication: 1 Timothy 2:1, Philippians 4:6
Our model for the prayer meeting is to read the verses for adoration and then take time to pray to adore God. Then read the verses for confession and pray prayers of confession. Similarly move on with Thanksgiving and Supplication. We will often conclude with the Lord’s prayer or by singing a hymn together.
