On Saturday, we were set to head out into the neighborhood to continue sharing the Gospel with the city of Carrollton. About the time we were gathering to head out, heavy rains and thunder started. The rain let up slightly and we decided we would take umbrella’s and go out anyway. But then when we got the umbrella’s and were ready to go the rain picked up again. So we decided to go to the mall and witness instead.
At the mall we had a number of good conversations. We spoke for nearly 45 minutes with a man named Mike. He is from persia, had left Islam, but was still searching. We could sense he truly was searching for the truth. We shared the Gospel with him. Yet, he still had questions. I offered to bring him a copy of The Case for Christ (Lee Strobel) and he was interested. I took him the book the next day. We had a number of other good one on one conversations with people and shared the Gospel with many people. After a couple hours, I realized that the rain had let up. So we decided to head home to head out into the neighborhood.
After a nice sandwich made by my wife, I headed out around the neighborhood. In about three hours time, I visited 45 houses, gathered 9 prayer requests, had fifteen one on ones and collected a bunch of food for Metro Crest Social Services. In addition, I had the chance to share the Gospel with a woman whose mom is a Christian scientist, a Muslim man and a teenager who is a Buddhist.
Totals so far:
80 houses visited
25 one on ones
16 prayer requests
Please pray for Carrollton to know Christ. There is a population of approximately 120,000 living in 40,000 houses. My vision is to take the Gospel to each door!
