Bezeugen Tract Club – April 2025

He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. (Matthew 28:6)

When sharing the Gospel with people we will often ask “do you know where you will spend eternity” or “if you die tonight will you go to Heaven?” In either case… IYKYK. Or at least you should. IYKYK is short for “If You Know You Know”. A believer in Jesus should know for sure that they have salvation due to faith alone in Jesus Christ. Our new tract uses this as a segway to the gospel. It has been well received so far as we have been handing them out at a number of places over the past couple months as we try them out. Hand out the tract and ask people one of the questions in the beginning of this paragraph. See if you can have a conversation with them and share the Gospel.

We hope you like it. We have new tracts lined up to send you for the next few months. We are excited about getting these new resources into your hands!

Easter is Sunday, April 20th. The enclosed “Hoppy Easter” has been a long time favorite. We originally designed this tract by some funny conversations talking to people at the shopping mall where you could get a picture with the Easter Bunny. It’s interesting how culture appropriates the holiday and turns it into something it isn’t. Easter is about the resurrection of Jesus. What does that have to do with a bunny? Nothing. That’s thepoint of the tract. It says “Hoppy” as a joke. But really we mean “Happy Easter”. Why? Because “he is risen, as he said” (Matthew 28:6). Use this tract as a springboard to the Gospel.

Easter is a great time to share the Gospel. Do it with care and compassion. Avoid  preachy sales pitches. You can ask if they celebrate Easter? If so, why? Explain why you celebrate Easter and what it means to you. Explain the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, especially why that was needed for our salvation.

In Habakkuk 3:18 the prophet says “I will take joy in the God of my salvation “. He was looking forward to Jesus and able to take joy. We look back to Jesus because of Easter. Now think about it this way. The real joy is salvation. But why? The Bible says we are saved by Faith Alone in Christ Alone. That joy then steps from Christ and what He did; at Easter.

As you talk to people you may find that they believe they are going earn salvation due to their own “good works”. The “joy in salvation” would be based on them rather than on Christ. Or what about certain religions like Catholicism where salvation is Jesus plus works? In this situation, when finding “joy in salvation” is it the part Jesus did? Or the self righteous “works part” they did?

Let’s not fall for that. The Bible is clear that faith leading to salvation comes from Christ alone and His finished work on the cross. Share that with people so that they can get joy in their salvation too.
