Denison Dam Spillway at Lake Texoma

Saturday! Working for the weekend! Resting for my work week! No matter how you put it this was a day to hand out many tracts. My wife and I drove to visit our oldest son at college and for me to be with him on Fathers Day. We had a little extra time on the drive up. So we stopped at Lake Texoma and saw the spollway where water has only passed over it four times in history. It was an impressive site to see. Many others were there taking in the view of the water rushing over the spillway – almost all of them got a tract. I have some extra “Patriotic Bookmarks” that will be in the July mailing of the Bezeugen Tract Club, so I mainly was handing these out at these stops. I would simply hand it to someone and say, “here is a Patriotic bookmark for you.” They would look at it, take it and say thank you! With some I’d add, “there is some scripture on the back.”

At one rest area I purchased a small souvenir and gave the cashier an “Are You a Good Person” tract from the June Mailing of the Bezeugen Tract Club. A guy came up to buy something and I handed him one of the bookmarks and mentioned it had scripture on the back. He took it and then said, “you know I really needed this, I’m having a bad day, struggle with my wife, and this scripture will really help!” You see when you hand out tracts you never know who you might bless!

The #dailytractchallenge for the day was to to put a tract into a six pack of beer. I completed it at Wal-Mart – twice!

I also found this water gun had a nice tract holder to leave a tract for someone.

At McDonald’s I was able to give tracts to a number of employee’s and then leave some tracts for the next customers in line in this nice tract hold they had right at the cash register!

Day 19: Thank you for the coffee

I stopped at Starbucks on my way to work. I gave the cashier a Thank You tract from the June mailing of the Bezeugen Tract Club.

Day 18: The most important question

Some days it seems like by the end of the day I have not had a chance to witness to anyone. Today is NOT one of those days. I decided to stop for a coffee on my way to work and spend some time catching up on some emails. When I got out of my car, there was a man working in the area. I offered him a “Who do you say that I am?” tract and asked “do you know the answer to this 2015-06-18 08.21.06question that Jesus asks?” He said “no”. Then I asked if he had heard of Jesus. Again, “no”. I had a brief time to share with him. Then he excused himself and had to get to work. I encouraged him to read the tract!

As I walked up to the Starbucks there was a young lady sitting at one of the tables outside. I asked “excuse me, can I ask you a quick question?” She said yes. So I said, “do you know what happens after YOLO?” and handed her a YOLO tract from the June mailing of the Bezeugen Tract Club. She took it and we had a brief conversation. I explained to her that that the Bible says “it is appointed once to die and then the judgement… and that is what happens after YOLO!”

Inside at Starbucks, I asked three employees the most important question and gave them each “who do you say that I am tracts.” They all professed to be believers in Jesus and that He is their Lord and savior. I praised God and asked them to share the tracts with someone who needs to hear the Gospel.

Day 17: short term mission trip

It was another one of those days where I left home at 6:30 AM, sat at my desk all day, drove home and … never had a chance to share the Gospel with anyone. So after dinner I decided it was time for a short term mission trip to share the Gospel. In the process, I left a tract at the gas pump where I filled up my car with gas. At the store, in the parking lot, I handed a NASCAR trivia from the June mailin gof the Bezeugen Tract Club to a guy guy who was walking to his car! I also put a tract into a case of water at the store. And gave a tract to the cashier where I checked out.

Oh, I got some ice cream while I was at the store.

Day 16: Thank you for the tacos

Tuesday night is discount taco night at Rosa’s Cafe! Had a taco plate and gave the cashier a Thank You tract. My friend who was with me asked what I had handed her. He is not a Christian, but I have shared the Gospel with him several times. So I handed him a tract and told him about it and it was a good opportunity to remind him of the message that I’ve shared with him. I continue to pray for his salvation!

Day 15: Business Reply Envelope

Due to my work schedule sometimes my day consists of driving to work, working all day and then driving home. On days like that, I am not in any position to be able to share the Gospel with anyone. Today was a day like that. When I got home, I was going through the mail and there was a business reply envelope in it. So I took a NASCAR Trivia tract from the June mailing of the Bezeugen Tract Club and put it in the business reply envelope and put it back into the mailbox.

Day 14: Red Box return

I had two movies to return to redbox. So I left an Are You a Good Person tract from the June mailing of the tract club for the 2015-06-14 11.01.32next person to come use the machine.

Later in the afternoon we went to Nebraska Furniture Mart, Target and Lowe’s. I was able to hand out a number of tracts to employees and other customers. At Lowe’s I had a short conversation with one of the employees who said he does not believe the Gospel. I gave him my card and told him I’d buy him breakfast if he wanted to talk more. I hope and pray that he will call.

Day 13: Are You a Good Person?

I met a friend for breakfast. When I went up to the counter to place my order the cashier asked me how I was doing. I answered and then asked him how he was. “Good” he said. So I handed him the Are you a Good Person tract and said, “here is a test to see if that is true!” He took it and said thanks.

Day 12: Yolo (x2)

We had to call the foundation repair company to check on some work they they had done a couple years ago. When I got home from work they were there digging in the front of the house to find one of the piers to inspect it. I gave the foreman one of the YOLO tracts for the June mailing of the Bezeugen Tract Club and had a short conversation with him about it. I didn’t have a Spanish tract on me for the man doing the digging. But fortunately I had some just inside my house. So I gave one to the foreman to give to his worker!
