As You Go, tract
We have jail ministry at least three Wednesday nights a month. I went this past Wednesday. I usually take several tracts in with me. Last month, one of the jailers took a “Your Final Four Words” tract and read some of it out loud to the woman that works the front. This Wednesday night, he took “Are you doing today what you were created to do?” when he searched my bag. He said “No” when he read the front. He came in for part of the service, also. Afterwards, he took two of the baseball trivia tracts. I pray that he will cry out like the jailer in Acts 16:30: “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”

Ten Commandments
This morning I had a note from my wife that was very encouraging. Among other things it said, “Praying you get the opportunity to share the Gospel…”
After lunch I sent her a text that said, “that prayer was answered!”
Let me explain.
I was sitting at lunch eating my sandwich and reading an article on my phone. Suddenly there was a guy standing beside me asking me if I would buy him breakfast. I asked him to hang on a second since I was wrapping up reading. Then I talked with him. I asked why he wanted breakfast since it was nearly 1PM in the afternoon. He just wanted money. I asked when he had last eaten and he said yesterday. I showed him my bottle of water and told him “if you drink this, you’ll get thirsty again.” He agreed. Then I said, but I can show you where you can get some water that is more satisfying and you’ll never thirst again. He was interested and listened for a few minutes. Then he asked “are you going to give me some money.” I said, “no, but if you’ll listen, I’ll buy your lunch here.” He claimed it was too expensive. I gave him the option of my buying lunch for him or me walking away. He continued to listen.
I tried to take him through the Ten Commandments. He claimed he had never lied, stolen or hated anyone. Eventually he admitted he had a girlfriend and a daughter. I explained the only way he could have had a daughter without a wife would be to break the seventh commandment and explained that Revelation 21:8 said that all fornicators would end up in Hell.
I had his attention. So we went and got in line to buy him a burger. When we got up to the counter I handed him a tract with the Ten Commandments on it. At first he refused to take it. Then he asked for money for the subway and then if he could keep the change from the burger. I told him no. He still was trying to give back the tract. So I said, “I’ll give you a dollar to read this tract.” He said OK so I handed him a dollar. As I did he said, “two dollars, five dollars.” I said no, you agreed to read it for one dollar.
At that he said, “don’t you have to get back to work.” I told him I had a few more minutes. We had the buzzer that would go off when his burger was ready. So I had a few more minutes before it would be ready and he’d be gone. So I shared the good news with him and told him that God commands him like all people to repent and believe the Gospel. I left him with that. And went off rejoicing that I had the opportunity to share the good news with him.

As You Go, strategy, tract, tract distribution
The “Are you doing today what you were created to do?” tract was in the April mailing. I have been using this tract today as I left work. I gave out 5 at one of the laundry mats that I help out with. This is a good conversation starter because of the picture. We know that car wasn’t created to look like that! Just like the car, people are not doing what they were created to do. Read the story behind the tract here. http://www.bezeugentractclub.org/?p=544

As You Go, Hoppy Easter, strategy
It’s less than a week to Easter Sunday! The Hoppy Easter tract is one of my favorites. As you can see in earlier post, there are plenty of places to leave this tract. I have been giving these to people as I wish them a Happy Easter.
This is a good ice breaker to tell them the real meaning of Easter. Here are a few places where I have left them lately.

As You Go, Hoppy Easter
I went shopping with my wife. Got to share the Gospel one on one with people at the stores at least a dozen times. Plus I got to hand out a number of tracts. Here are some tracting ideas for you.
The Ears are the Best
Do you see the tract left by the display?

You can leave a tract in the grocery cart by tucking it into the wire mesh so it won’t blow away!

There are plenty of places to leave the Hoppy Easter tract before Easter Sunday. There are also plenty of people to give these tracts to. Here are a few more places where I have left some.

Texting Tract
Get ready for the Texting tract! It will be in the April tract club mailing. This is great to hand out because just about everyone knows about texting. I have gave these to people who were on their phone or text messaging. I gave one to each in a group of 5 young people one day at Walmart. It does well at the mall. After one man took one, he smiled because he could relate to the texting. I pray that he read the message on the back! They can be left anywhere. I like to leave them at the cell phone displays in stores. (The one in the picture was placed on an empty stand in Walmart.)
People text a lot. Pray that those who get this tract will read the text on the back and read the greatest text message of all – the Bible!

As You Go, Hoppy Easter
I can’t decide if Christmas or Easter is a better time to share the Gospel. I guess both are great. As Paul wrote to Timothy “in season and out of season.” We were at the mall at lunchtime today. With each person we asked “do you know what the Easter Bunny has to do with Easter?” Some could not care less. Some said no and wanted to know the answer. But, I told them that I did not know either. Then we came across the Easter Bunny booth a the mall. We were just chatting with each other and talking about how we should give a tract to the Easter Bunny. Then the Easter Bunny motioned for me to come over. So I waled over and handed her a Hoppy Easter Tract and asked if we could snap a picture. You’ll see that the Easter Bunny is actually holding up the tract in the picture! I got to share with her and the guy running the booth the true meaning of Easter. Now look below to see a close up shot of the tract!
Going on from the Bunny we came to the ice skating rink. I wish I had gotten a picture, but the Zamboni had rabbit ears and a nose on it and said on the front “Zanbunny”. That of course lead me to strike up a conversation with the guy working at the counter. He was a self proclaimed agnostic. We asked him to consider the truth of the Bible and what would happen if he feel short of God’s standard of perfection. They even had 11 rules of the skating rink posted right there by his cash register and it made a great analogy with the Ten Commandments. I invited him to call us and we’d buy him lunch and talk some more.
We also shared the Gospel using Easter as the segway with a Hindu man. He received a tract and an invitation to join us for a meal to talk more.
Please pray for all those we talked to and that they would repent and believe the Gospel.

As You Go, strategy, tract, tract distribution Hoppy Easter Tract
Easter is a great time to witness! People need to know the real reason of Easter Sunday! Jesus left the empty tomb to fill our empty hearts! The Hoppy Easter tract was in the club mailing for March. This is one of my favorites. These are real easy to place on Easter displays in the stores. This tract blends in with signs because of the colors. Check out these photos where I left some out.
