October 31, 2013 As You Go, Halloween
Went to the grocery store with my wife. Had to make two stops. One at Whole Foods and one at Target. I grabbed a stack of tracts as we walked out the door to go. I probably had 40 tracts with me. Gave tracts to several employees and customers. Also left several tracts around the store!
This pumpkin display made a nice place to add a tract. There was a store employee working there providing samples. So while sampling the products I was able to share the Gospel with her.
Moving on from there we came across this aisle with a display of cookies. The cookies had both Christmas and Halloween themes. It was really interesting because just that morning our pastor was talking about how Christmas sales start earlier and earlier. One of the employees was there by the display and I had a brief conversation about the cookies and the Gospel with him. He also received a tract!
While driving between stores we had to stop for gas. So I left a tract at the gas pump!

September 28, 2013 As You Go, Everyday Club
Hi Everyday Club Members,
It’s time to report about how you have done in sharing your faith this past month. We would like to welcome you to the first Everyday Club report on the As You Go blog, where we encourage you to witness “As You Go”. For those of you who have posted on Pastor Steve Sanchez’ blog, we pray that we can be a blessing as well. I found out about the Bezeugen Tract Club through his blog. I have always used tracts, but I started giving out more when I joined the tract club. Pastor Steve’s postings about the use of the million dollar bills and his “E-Vangie Tales” have greatly encouraged me. So, how did you do in September? Did you meet your goals? Did you preach in the open air, go to a big event for tract distribution, or have some great one on ones? Please leave your comment. What a privilege we have to share our faith everyday!
Yours In Christ,
Scott
P.S. For more info on how The Everyday Club came to the As You Go blog, read here.
September 21, 2013 As You Go, strategy
In October’s tract club mailing are new tracts for the Halloween season. Some may ask “Tracts for Halloween?”
These tracts can open up conversations about Jesus, the law, the afterlife, spiritual subjects, and eternity. Halloween is already being promoted in the stores. These displays and promotions are great places to leave these tracts.
The “Happy Halloween” tract highlights the word hallow in Halloween on the front. It talks about God’s name being hallowed and holy. The other Halloween tract asks the question “Can you name the top ten Halloween costumes for children?” It gives the list on the back and then asks about naming the Ten Commandments. I don’t like to wish people “Happy Halloween”, but we can use this topic to start conversations than can lead souls to the Saviour!
There are plenty of websites that allow you to use chat to talk with a representative at the company. So after you have asked your question or completed your business, why not offer them the Gospel. In this chat, I offered a copy of The Truth May Impact Your Opinion booklet.
So, next time, “As You Go” to the chat, be sure to share the Gospel. You could give them a link to any of the tracts at www.bezeugentractclub.org as well!
September 7, 2013 As You Go, strategy, Three Minutes to Live
You don’t have to go very far to find witnessing opportunities when there is a Walmart around. Everyone goes there! When shopping with my family on Friday night, I had a stack of Bezeugen tracts and Mancards in my hand. I gave several Football Trivia tracts to guys as I would ask “Did you get your Football Trivia tract?”. Then I would say the first four questions deal with football, but the fifth one is spiritual. A man by the name Lewis said that he was all into the game and would read the tract later. At one place in the store, I gave out 5 to men that were walking by. I don’t stand in one place for very long because it could draw attention from management. I approached two men with the same approach with the Football Trivia tract. I also said that one day we will all stand before God. One agreed with me. When I asked their names, they showed that they were Muslims. I told them mine and went on my way with them holding the tracts! I gave a Mancard to a Hindu man named Gosem. This is one of my favorite tracts to give to Hindu men.
I gave one to Cedric, who said the he was a Christian. A couple that saw me talking to him though that I worked there. Tyesha asked me where the velveeta cheese was. Being familiar with that area because of shopping for my wife at times, I took them right to it. After we got there, I told her and Vero that I didn’t work there. I gave both of them tracts! (I did the same thing at another store before!)
Opportunities are everywhere to share the Gospel. All one has to do is look for them any place where people are. Most will take a tract. Some may ask questions. The Good Person Test can be used if the person has time to talk. If someone rejects a tract, live by this rule : For every reject, there is someone around the corner that will take a tract. Rejections should encourage us, not discourage the ones who are trying to win souls! He that winneth souls is wise! – Proverbs 11:30
What are you waiting for?
August 28, 2013 As You Go, one on one
We preach at the Claiborne Parish Detention Center three Wednesdays every month. I look for witnessing opportunities after service, usually at a McDonald’s or convenience store. I stopped at the McDonald’s drive-thru in Farmerville tonight, which is 30 minutes from home. As I was waiting, I noticed a man standing by the parking area. I parked when I got my order. I gave him a Football Trivia tract. I told him that it had 4 questions about football and the 5th one was spiritual. I said that one day that we are going to die just like all football players. I asked him how was he getting to Heaven. He said that someone had asked him that question before. I thought that it may have been recently, but he said that it was 10 years ago! I quoted 1 John 5:13 to him
(These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God). I gave him the good person test, taking him through 3 of the Ten Commandments. He said that he would be guilty based on those 3. I asked him to read 1John 5 and Romans 10. I pray that Herbert really thinks about eternity and what Jesus has done so that he can go to Heaven.
