Places For the “Are You A Good American?” Tract

Here’s a few ideas using this tract that is in the tract club for July. I found a display of ice chests with the American flag on them. I left a tract in top of one.
I found a box of desert rolls that are geared up for the 4th. Maybe the person getting this box will read the tract when they get home! Patriotic displays are saying “Leave that tract here!”

Tracting on Flag Day and Saturday

Before lunch on Friday, I found out that it was Flag Day. Every year on the 14th June, the American flag is celebrated. The President makes a proclamation of this day and also the week, which is Flag Week. I also found out by talking to a National Guardsman that it was the 238th birthday of the Army. I wished Happy Flag Day to him and another soldier. I gave them the Ronald Reagan quote tract. They are Christians who have great respect for him. With Flag Day in mind, I went to Walmart at lunch with two tracts : “Are You A Good American?” and the Ronald Reagan quote tract. I was able to give out 10 tracts there. Most didn’t know it was Flag Day. One man, who had hard liquor in his cart, took “Are You A Good American? when I told him Happy Flag Day. After work, I talked with a man named Michael on the way to the Dollar Tree. He said that he had been free from cancer for 6 weeks. I was able to give him two tracts. On another Walmart trip I gave out and placed 11 more tracts. One of my Sunday School students sent me a picture (included in this post) of where he put a Ronald Reagan quote tract. He had also put several in the beer section at the Super One in Ruston. On Saturday, I gave out about 10 more tracts at Walmart and Super One. I was able to put a tract into the hands of two gay men. I asked them to read them when they had the chance. Holidays and celebrations are great opportunities to witness with tracts. We need to take advantage of every opportunity that comes our way. Someone’s eternity may depend on our availability!

Tracts For July

In the July supply you will find these tracts: 2 + 2, the texting tract, Are You A Good American, and the new one that asks the question “On a scale of 0 to 100, how certain are you that you will go to heaven?” After we went open-air preaching and witnessing Friday night, I gave the new one to a woman @ the Burger King drive-thru. When she read the front, she said that she didn’t know. I gave the Are You A Good American? to a Vietnamese man at Fred’s when I saw him at the check out with 4th of July decorations. This is a great tract for this month because of the patriotism that is presented in the celebration of the 4th. When I give this one to someone, I ask “Did you get your 4th of July tract? I’ll say “Here’s your 4th of July Gospel tract. Have a good 4th!” This one will go well at a firework display and where fireworks are sold. Antonio seemed very appreciative when I gave him one tonight at Walmart. I also gave one to Troy, the new worker at our Dollar General. There are displays in stores going up for the holiday. I placed one in front of American flag plates on a shelf in Walmart. Anywhere you will find an American flag will be inviting you to leave this tract there. Take advantage of the freedom that we have to share our faith! Jesus gave us freedom so that we can tell others that they can be set free also!

Chris And The Name 10 Things On Your Bucket List Tract

Friday night at Walmart, I gave out several tracts as we went through the store. I spotted a young man walking with his attention on his iPhone. I slipped him “Name 10 Things On Your Bucket List” as he walked by. A few minutes later, he came back to ask “What is a bucket list?”. He had never heard the phrase “kick the bucket”. His name is Chris and is 18 years old. I explained that it was used to talk about when someone dies. He said that he wasn’t saved. I took him through 4 of the 10 commandments. He said that he would be guilty and would go to hell. We talked for several more minutes. I encouraged him to repent and put his trust in Jesus. There are a lot more young people out there like Chris. We need to be prepared to witness at all times.Take tracts with you “As You Go”!

What People Need To Do Before They “Kick The Bucket”

The phrase “kick the bucket” means to die. 150,000 people “kick the bucket” everyday. This tract, “Name 10 Things On Your Bucket List”, was in June’s tract club mailing. It talks about things people may want to do before they die. The #1 thing they need to do is to repent and put their trust in Christ! When I hand this one out, I say “This talks about things that you may want to do before you kick the bucket.” I gave one to Chris last night at the Chevron. After taking him through the law, he said that he would probably go to hell. I pray that Chris has prayed already! Let’s get the Gospel to the lost before they “kick the bucket”!

The Jailer

We have jail ministry at least three Wednesday nights a month. I went this past Wednesday. I usually take several tracts in with me. Last month, one of the jailers took a “Your Final Four Words” tract and read some of it out loud to the woman that works the front. This Wednesday night, he took “Are you doing today what you were created to do?” when he searched my bag. He said “No” when he read the front. He came in for part of the service, also. Afterwards, he took two of the baseball trivia tracts. I pray that he will cry out like the jailer in Acts 16:30: “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”

Spanish Witnessing With Bezeugen Tracts

Even if you don’t speak Spanish, using tracts is a great way to witness to Spanish-speaking people. These are three tracts that are available in Spanish. You only have one shot to witness to some, so you can make the best of it by handing them a tract. I gave the “Estas Listo?” tract to each in a group of Spanish men at the Walmart checkout one evening this week. I usually ask names of people so I can remember to pray for them. I got their names as I began to tell them about the tract. The tracts can be ordered by going to onemilliontracts.com and click on the Bezeugen Gospel Tracts selection. Lets go after the lost!

For The Next Person

Change and vending machines are great places to leave tracts. People have to pick them up when they get their coins. At the car wash, a tract can be placed in the cloth machines where they come out. Laundry mat changers are good for tracts, too. I left the Good News / Bad News tract at the water machine this evening. This tract is in the May tract club mailing.

Are You Doing Today What You Were Created To Do?

The “Are you doing today what you were created to do?” tract was in the April mailing. I have been using this tract today as I left work. I gave out 5 at one of the laundry mats that I help out with. This is a good conversation starter because of the picture. We know that car wasn’t created to look like that! Just like the car, people are not doing what they were created to do. Read the story behind the tract here. http://www.bezeugentractclub.org/?p=544

More Hopping With The Hoppy Easter Tract

It’s less than a week to Easter Sunday! The Hoppy Easter tract is one of my favorites. As you can see in earlier post, there are plenty of places to leave this tract. I have been giving these to people as I wish them a Happy Easter.
This is a good ice breaker to tell them the real meaning of Easter. Here are a few places where I have left them lately.
